Jack Hanna: "If they have too many giraffes… why do they keep breeding?"

It seems unthinkable. A vet at a Copenhagen zoo shot and killed a two-year-old giraffe. An autopsy was conducted in front of an audience including children, then the remains were fed to lions and other big cats. Zookeepers say they had a "surplus problem" and decided to kill the giraffe to prevent inbreeding. The Columbus Zoo's Jack Hanna is outraged. He says, "I can't compare this to anything I have seen in the zoo world."
