The politics and practicalities of a Syria deal

There are new claims today the Assad regime began moving chemical weapons to Lebanon and Iraq. If that's true it would further complicate the job of disarming Syria's chemical arsenal. Anderson discussed all of this with former Chief U.S. Weapons Inspector David Kay, and Senior Political Analyst David Gergen.

Is disarming the Assad regime "Mission Impossible"?

David Kay was America's chief weapons inspector in Iraq, and he says there are likely hundreds of people qualified to search for chemical weapons in Syria. But he estimates the job would we require at least 2,000 inspectors. Anderson spoke to him and former CIA officer Bob Baer about what the inspectors would do once they are inside Syria, and the difficulty of completing their mission.

Disarming Syria's Chemical Stockpile

Senator McCain on Russia's plan for Syria

Senator John McCain is a long time supporter of American military
intervention in Syria's civil war. He speaks to Anderson and voices his
concerns about the diplomatic deal Russia is working to broker.
McCain even questions why Secretary John Kerry is flying to Geneva to meet
with his Russian counterpart, instead of holding that meeting in New York.
Does the U.S. have credibility on Syria without the threat of military
force? Anderson asked that question to former Bush administration national
security official Mike Doran and Chief Political Analyst Gloria Borger.
