Remembering Canadian solider, Cpl. Nathan Cirillo

Two days after a terrifying and deadly firearm incident devastated the government and people of Canada, on Friday evening Anderson Cooper remembered the beloved father who perished in the incident.

Ottawa shooting witness: He swung the rifle in our direction

Scott Walsh was near the war memorial during today's shooting. He spoke to Anderson about the moment the gunman raised his rifle and everyone around him hit the deck. Walsh says the shooter tried to hijack a car at gunpoint. He also describes seeing a man dressed in a similar scarf as the gunman, but this man acted "as if nothing was going on."

Ottawa's Mayor Jim Watson talks to Anderson about the lockdown surrounding Parliament as it was just beginning to lift. Ottawa shooting timeline

Officials say that a Canadian-born convert to Islam with a decade-long criminal record was responsible for today's shooting inside Canada's main Parliament building. A soldier at a nearby war memorial was killed, three other people were wounded. Randi Kaye looks at how today's tragedy unfolded.
