Buffalo buried: Can the roofs stand up to the snow?

Over the last three days, Buffalo, New York got hit with as much snow as the city usually sees all year. The storm is blamed for the deaths of at least ten people. As two more feet fell today, fears are growing that roofs across the area are not going to be able to handle all of the weight. Martin Savidge is in Buffalo where a warming trend could increase the danger.

Buffalo buried: Stories from the storm

Parts of the Buffalo, New York area have already been hit with more than six feet of snow and forecasters are warning several more feet are on the way. Several people have already died in this storm. While, a pregnant mother who couldn't make it to the hospital in time gave birth in a fire house and others were stranded in the snow.

Chrissy Hazard was at home with her husband, a friend and seven children when a wall of snow broke through the back door and trapped everyone inside. She spoke with Anderson from inside the house.

Bethany Hojnacki went into labor during the storm and couldn't make it to the hospital. While her husband Jared was out in the snow, he ran into a firefighter who happened to be helping a stranded labor and delivery nurse. Bethany gave birth to her daughter Lucy Grace at a nearby fire house, then another stranded nurse arrived. She specialized in maternity and caring for newborns. Jared Hojnacki told Anderson his story and said 'God was really with the people who needed him.'
