Sydney siege adds to growing list of deadly hostage standoffs

A 16-hour hostage siege with a lone gunman holding 17 people inside a chocolate shop ended in the early morning hours as commandos hearing gunfire inside the shop stormed in killing the gunman and ending the siege, but not before two of the hostages were killed. Jason Carroll takes a look at previous hostage situations and the outcome of the rescue attempts.
