The deadly dangers of synthetic drugs

Two teens die just days apart. Both of them had taken a type of synthetic LSD. Dealers are cashing in by creating synthetic versions of otherwise illegal drugs. Drew Griffin has been digging in on this problem and met Charles Carlton, a dealer who is now facing a long prison sentence for selling the same chemicals that killed these teens.

Whoever wrote this has done absolutely no research on this subject. 25I is a Phenethylamine known to be highly toxic for years. Its not even in the same chemical class as LSD (which would be correctly labeled a lysergamide based tryptamine) the two substances share no relation. This would be like blaming the opiate crisis on "synthetic tylenol" they're not related compounds. Please stop spreading misinformation. 25I is highly dangerous and the loss of life due to this chemical is truly sad. LSD has a proven safety profile and has an LD-50 so high its impossible to OD on it. Please learn to do basic research before you start your fear-mongering.
