Ferguson community leaders show strength after destruction

Pastor Carlton Lee repeatedly called for the arrest of Officer Darren Wilson. Michael Brown's father worships there. Last night, his church was one of a dozen or so buildings that were set on fire. Pastor Lee tells Anderson that he is experiencing feelings that are similar to losing a child.

Varun Madaksira owns The Original Reds Barbecue in Ferguson. When his business burned during protests last August, he moved his grills outside and fed protesters. Sadly, Reds Barbecue suffered far more extensive  damage last night. Now, Madaksira says he is not sure that he will be able to reopen. He tells Anderson that despite all of this, he is still "a firm believer in the fabric of a strong neighborhood."

Am I seeing and hearing a REPLAY of the Trayvon Martin Saga? a young unarmed black youth slain (sorry shot to death) by an armed "officer of the law" with SLIGHTLY VISIBLE face and neck "injuries" leaving the safety of his vehicle while awaiting backup , pursuing a "suspect" that has fled, only to turn around and "threaten the life" of his pursuer and lose his life, only to have the NATION not to mention the family of the slain youth, endure the dismissal of all or any charges by an unimpeachable court of law> I do not know how you feel, but it is all too similar to me.

My question would be why nobody talks about that Mike Brown stole from a store....Is it ok to just steal from hardworking people ?
His parents didn't teach him not too steal? Imagine you are the store owner... how you would feel.....
Ever put yourself in the shoes of police officers ?It doesnt matter what they do we still complain.....

Anderson – Ask what are the things Mike Brown could have done as to NOT get shot please? The Black comunity appears to disregard any item that remotely does-not support the emotional response to this tragic situation.

In contrast Black-on-Black murders increase – but that is somehow missed – Chicago is one example – but thats a dirty little secret that is-not in the conversation.... Why?

The media feeds the minds of innocent young people with violence and other disturbing issues. What we need to change as a nation is the media.

Ferguson should drop the U.S. Constitution and adopt the Geneva Convention. Maybe will have better luck that way.

    Part I – General Provisions
Art 3. In the case of armed conflict not of an international character occurring in the territory of one of the High Contracting Parties, each Party to the conflict shall be bound to apply, as a minimum, the following
    provisions:
    (1) Persons taking no active part in the hostilities, including members of armed forces who have laid down their arms and those placed hors de combat by sickness, wounds, detention, or any other cause, shall in all circumstances be treated humanely, without any adverse distinction founded on race, colour, religion or faith, sex, birth or wealth, or any other similar criteria.

I blame it on Anderson Cooper's lack of courtesy towards me
    1. Made him handmade art pieces last December and wrote him a notebook in all sincerity and love, he ignored me and blocked me on twitter, causing me to feel depressed for almost a year. Then he still pretends he's not reading this, and brushes it aside. I'm a human being. Not nice. You hurt me and all I did was stand up for you in twitter fights. Last one was with Billy corgan. Now I'm mean like you. I don't care about anything anymore.

Do you think I wanted something from you?
It was the complete opposite, I wanted to give, share and I wanted you to be the best.
Cruel man. I wished that you see and feel everything that I felt and I guess now you see and feel.

Do you think the current events could have been triggered by Adele's song: Set Fire to the Rain?

I let it fall, my heart,
And as it fell you rose to claim it
It was dark and I was over
Until you kissed my lips and you saved me

    My hands, they're strong
But my knees were far too weak,
    To stand in your arms
    Without falling to your feet

But there's a side to you
That I never knew, never knew.
    All the things you'd say
They were never true, never true,
    And the games you play
You would always win, always win.

    [Chorus:]
But I set fire to the rain,
Watched it pour as I touched your face,
Well, it burned while I cried
'Cause I heard it screaming out your name, your name!

    When I lay with you
    I could stay there
    Close my eyes
    Feel you here forever
    You and me together
    Nothing gets better

'Cause there's a side to you
That I never knew, never knew,
    All the things you'd say,
They were never true, never true,
    And the games you'd play
You would always win, always win.

    [Chorus:]
But I set fire to the rain,
Watched it pour as I touched your face,
Well, it burned while I cried
'Cause I heard it screaming out your name, your name!

I set fire to the rain
And I threw us into the flames
    When it fell, something died
'Cause I knew that that was the last time, the last time!

Sometimes I wake up by the door,
That heart you caught must be waiting for you
Even now when we're already over
I can't help myself from looking for you.

    [Chorus:]
I set fire to the rain,
Watched it pour as I touched your face,
Well, it burned while I cried
'Cause I heard it screaming out your name, your name

I set fire to the rain,
And I threw us into the flames
    When it fell, something died
'Cause I knew that that was the last time, the last time, ohhhh!

    Oh noooo
    Let it burn, oh
    Let it burn
    Let it burn
