Timeline of sex abuse accusations against Bill Cosby

Two more women came forward today, sharing their allegations against Bill Cosby. The legendary comedian has not been charged with any crimes, but he is facing accusations that date back decades. Gary Tuchman looks at how these accounts of Cosby's behavior fit in the timeline of his career.

Mark Ebner is a contributor for The Daily Beast. For years, he has been writing about rape allegations against Bill Cosby. He told Anderson that he believes his reporting was ignored, in part, because the media likes to protect celebrities.

People conflate the on-screen characters he has portrayed with the man himself, and that is the error. Again, in 1990 I learned about one of these events from someone in the extended family of the victim. Cosby posed as a mentor to a young actress then abused her trust. I had no trouble believing that then, or the subsequent allegations.

Law enforcement needs to be actively searching for victims within the statute of limitations. There are too many accusations from completely different people to dismiss this as 'just in the past.' If all this is real, he's a sociopath and there are probably more girls or women out there. Law enforcement should be reaching out. And the media should be calling for that.
