Dr. Craig Spencer is now the first Ebola patient in New York City. He tested positive for the virus days after returning from Guinea. He was there working with Doctors Without Borders treating Ebola patients. News of Dr. Spencer's diagnosis came during AC360 and Anderson broke the news.

Anderson Cooper looks at the security camera video that captured the Ottawa shooting suspect driving away from the War Memorial. The suspect was also recorded arriving at the Parliament building and running inside moments before bullets rang out. Anderson also looks at the starkly different event that went on there today, the standing ovation for Sergeant-at-Arms Kevin Vickers who shot and killed the gunman.
Sergent-at-Arms Vickers was hailed as a hero when he returned to Parliament today. Prime Minister Stephen Harper was their to paying tribute.

Investigators released video of the moments just before a man attacked a group of New York police officers with a hatchet. He injured two officers, one of them critically. Police say they fear this attack was motivated by radical Islam after looking at the suspect's social media accounts. Jim Sciutto has the latest.

Scott Walsh was near the war memorial during today's shooting. He spoke to Anderson about the moment the gunman raised his rifle and everyone around him hit the deck. Walsh says the shooter tried to hijack a car at gunpoint. He also describes seeing a man dressed in a similar scarf as the gunman, but this man acted "as if nothing was going on."

He speaks about the tragedy of the young Canadian soldier who lost his life today and the bravery of the Sergeant-at-Arms, who is being hailed as a hero for ending the rampage.
