Two weeks ago, four-year-old Eli Waller went to bed and never woke up. Other than a mild case of pink eye, his parents say he was feeling fine. Doctors later found that Eli died from Enterovirus, which has sickened hundreds of children across the country. Eli's death is the first confirmed fatality of the outbreak. He did not have the wheezing and coughing that is common in so many of the other cases.
Eli's father Andy spoke with Anderson and recounted their final moments together and how he told his son "let's make it a great day tomorrow."
