I pray that Hannah will be found safe.
This comment addresses the immense amount of coverage that CNN has given to this missing persons case. Why does CNN devote so much time to this story but not to Zulma Lexandra Pabon , a hispanic woman who went missing in Virginia on June 06, 2014 or to Ogechi Sarah Uwasomba, a black woman who went missing in Virginia on May 30, 2014.
Of course, there are hundreds of persons missing in this country right now.
Social scientists use the term MWWS, "Missing White Woman Syndrome", to define the media phenomenon in which there is undue focus on upper-middle-class white women who disappear. One wonders if CNN has succumbed to this syndrome.
I repeat, I want Hannah to be found safe. Everyone does. But, perhaps CNN can find a way to give some time to ALL missing people.
