Ferguson Police: Video shows Michael Brown in store robbery

Six days after the fatal shooting of unarmed teen Michael Brown, police released raw video from surveillance cameras they say show Brown robbing a convenience store on the day he was killed. Many in the Ferguson community, including Brown's family were outraged that information about the robbery was released immediately following the naming of the officer who killed Brown - without specifying whether the robbery was related to the shooting. CNN's Randi Kaye breaks down the surveillance video that's generating so much controversy.

I would like to say I am shocked and appalled by the behaviour that has gone on surrounding this investigation. I live in Canada, but we still get your news. Let me tell you. This has happened a few times here, and we take it seriously enough that racial profiling and racist behaviour is dealt with fairly promptly. My own city is under investigation for racial profiling and racism. Just cause I am whitey whitey does not mean I do not come from an immigrant family. I do. My family has only been Canadian for what 60 years? We lived through Hitler's reign. My FATHER... did not know English or French until 12 years of age. I am tired of the "Immigrant' and "Racial Profiling' we live in a better place than that now. Or I would hope. With this being 2014 and all.
The man who shot the boy was obviously a racist. Sorry, but you can't play the whole world like that. The police officer involved should be treated as a criminal and as such, until proven innocent like the rest of the offenders in the system should be duly incarcerated, or be allowed to post bail. And obviously at the moment their is some doubt, so, he could be arrested with 'reasonable doubt' or does that not exist there? I would say to the "United States' should become a little more 'United'
Not saying be like Canada, but our Laws are for the Country, not a province. And yea, sure if you know the right cop you might get away with infringing on a by-law... but our Laws are for the whole Country. And Provinces, and Territories work together.
I am not trying to infringe on any rights, but there is a song, by M.I.A. and it is called 'Born Free' I would post a link but afraid all my words would be taken away. But. If there is an artist who put it into appropriate terms... a long time ago.. I would say watch.
Touches on a lot of hot topics.
I would say to all the people who are angry... take your anger and turn it into proactive love. The only way we can make a difference is if WE MAKE A DIFFERENCE. Be proud of the positive changes you can make and don't let anyone get you down. Don't hate your neighbour, love them, make a community not an 'area'. Please people instead of being angry and in unrest, change it, be proactive, stop the violence. It really is in your hands. And it won't change over night, but baby steps take us down a long road. I am sending you all my love and prayers. Please be at ease. Fighting and War helps no one. <3

Just so I'm clear, if an organized mob terrorizes a town for what they think is a good cause, then they're NOT terrorists, right? How does that work?

So, a thief robs a store, slaps the clerk around, blocks traffic, disobeys a lawful order, blocks a cop's exit from his car, shoves the door back into him, and gets shot while wrestling a cop through his window. The entire black community goes insane without knowing the facts, and "protests" by stealing everything they don't set on fire, followed by a week of constant random destruction, followed by publicizing the address and pictures of officer's children, and Black Panthers chanting in the street their demands for a cop's murder.

The police response has been to identify the officer and hand over pictures to the mob, to vilify and replace the officers who were successfully suppressing the violence with a bunch of smiling cowards led by a sympathizer who started marching right along with the mob–all while an officer forced to protect himself against an attacker has been forced to flee his residence and the area for doing his job.

When Obama publicly insulted an officer for doing his job, police across the entire country unified to set him straight. Now its not simply a matter of basic dignity. Its literally a matter of life and death for cops all across the land. A precedent is being set one way or another, as to whether an angry violent mob will be allowed to blackmail and hijack the government into destroying any cop who defends himself against a black attacker.

The day before yesterday, the looters donned ski masks and attacked police with shotguns. Yesterday, the elephant-seal fataxx Chief of Police publicized the officer's name and picture, today Black Panthers are in the street screaming for the cop's murder, and looting stores right in front of armed cops–and everyone across the country is watching cowards give way to violence that escalates with every concession. Soon the cop will be murdered with help from his own elephant-seal Police Chief.

Every cop in the land knows how this plays out. The angry black mobs screaming to kill cops with the help of the Chief will either be bombarded into submission, or continue to get their way until every cop in the land is attacked by a black man, followed by an angry mob ready to murder him for defending himself.

Right now, the cop-killers are winning, they're inspiring, and their spreading.

Well, if ever there was a reason to demilitarize riot police, publicize the officer's name and picture, and let the mob feel like they're getting their way, its crowds of Black Panthers chanting demands to murder a cop.

Its time for every cop in the country to shout his defense from the rooftops, because when he gets murdered, its going to be the fault of the elephant-seal of a fat Chief of Police who let it happen by giving them their way.

The news is flooded with statements about demilitarizing the police, because the role of police is to "preserve life and order," while the military's is to "kill an enemy."

When a mob screams for the murder of a cop, and the elephant-seal Chief of Police hands over the cop's picture and contact info, the role of a cop-killing mob IS THE ENEMY.

Is anyone surprised that they only started yelling about murdering the cop as soon as power was given to the highway patrol, and the commander started marching along with the protestors?

The liars who do not have to face a REAL enemy are weakening those who ARE.

When this cop dies, don't blame the mob. Blame the ones who were keeping them suppressed, but were replaced with sympathizers by cowards who deserted a cop in need of backup.

Why are so many black people saying that robbing the store and getting shot are not related?

They're absolutely related: Its the same axxhole.
