Web Exclusive: Anderson Cooper's full interview with Israel's Ambassador to the U.S. Ron Dermer

Authorities in Gaza say more than 1,300 people have been killed there since the war began. The United Nations estimates 70-80% of the dead were civilians. 56 Israelis have been killed, all but three were troops. That disparity drives a perception in parts of the world, that the war is, if not wrong outright, then at least it is being wrongly fought. In Israel, there is overwhelming public support, with approval between 80-90%. Ron Dermer is Israel's Ambassador to the United States.

I watched this interview yesterday, came here to see it all and this is my response. You really drilled the Israeli Ambassador sadly, it did not apply to the UN spokesperson.
I had too many questions for the UNRWA guy an blogged about it at http://gpthots.blogspot.com/2014/07/14-questions-that-unrwa-should-answer.html.

To summarize, AC may not like it but you are implicitly seeming that Israel should stop firing once terrorist runs behind civilians and continue firing, Israel should surrender. Actually that's what a majority of the world is saying – don't fire towards civilians but no message to Hamas saying don't shoot from civilian population.

    Nice work in total.
