While much of the world is blaming pro-Russian rebels for the downing of Flight 17, many Russians are hearing a much different story. The Russian media is circulating conspiracy theories, attempting to rewrite history and sometimes just ignoring the crash altogether.

AMAZING propaganda piece.
Russia's side of the story is that there were two military planes at the time and place of the crash (as radar data shows, as well as witnesses on the ground; plus chaffs are seen on one of the crash videos), perfectly capable downing the plane with air-to-air missiles. (Civilian plane body is weak, so it would fall apart into pieces even with from smaller rocket). Considering the fact that Ukraine's military forces have history of shooting civilian planes and never admitting the guilt (like Tu-154 in 2001), it is perfectly possible they did it again either with their Buk systems (plenty in the area where Boeing has crashed) or by one of those military planes.
AC – has anyone mentioned the possibility that Malaysia flight 370 may have also been targeted in the same manner?
I find the similarities too coincidental. I shudder to think.
I remember the 1983 attack like it was yesterday – it was the first thing I thought of when I heard this news.
My heart breaks for those in mourning. The world is in mourning too.
