Following up a stunning report from Monday evening, on Tuesday Drew Griffin joined Anderson Cooper with an update on the alleged fraudulent record keeping at an Arizona VA hospital.
As the allegations have gained Congressional attention, the Senior Investigative Correspondent noted that action is being taken by the Department of Veterans Affairs. However, consequences are slow to come, especially at the top:
"We do know the VA has begun the termination process with some of the executives there...but [former Phoenix VA Health Care System administrator Sharon Helman] is getting paid."

If the prison system were to hand out massive bonuses for deciding they just no longer had the resources to provide medical access to the Aurora Killer, Gacy, or Charles Manson, every lawyer in the land would be fighting for the chance to prosecute them. Disabled veterans get murdered by the very institution assigned to protect them, and nobody even gets arrested.
Even money says this will continue until veterans start assassinating officials, and everyone will wail and cry "oh why, why, why?"
Well for starters, you shoved disabled veterans to the back of the line with a fake appointment behind the cannibals, cop-killers, and rabid psychos who empty shotguns into kids and pregnant women. Then when they died, instead of arresting the killers, you rewarded them with tons of free money and let them "investigate" their own crimes while you held back the FBI until they'd spoiled the evidence and got everyone lying in their favor. Then their families got to spend every veterans day for the rest of their lives reflecting on all this.
Maybe that has something to do with it, genius!
How ironic is it that the largest, the most powerful, and the most dynamic medical institution in the nation has LITERALLY waited until after the patients die to diagnose it's own disabilities?
If the VA were fixable, would it take the full weight of all VSOs, and a year of continuous pounding by CNN to get this train out of the station? Even now, the institution is constantly trying to deal us reverses with every inch of progress made. It murders our veterans, then carries on a campaign of silence through intimidation–which worked, the media chases them down and exposes them, then they restrain the FBI and DOJ and tell us they are conduction their own internal investigations. Then when they spoliate the evidence and get everyone lying in the same direction, the few who blow the whistle are threatened. Then finally, after they've stacked the deck in every way they can, and nobody's been fired, the FBI and DOJ are finally allowed to do an independent investigation–solely to create the illusion that independent investigations corroborate their lies. The rich will not go down without a fight.
Fortunately, CNN keeps hammering them and refusing to let them hide their latest play, and they've overestimated their ability to keep ALL their employees quiet. They can't silence them all, and it's the leaks that are making the entire situation public and changeable. CNN is the key. I hope you're not planning on letting up pressure here–right when we're finally making it impossible for them to sneak a new ploy past us.
The criminals who murdered us, to make it easier to steal from us, then protected themselves from being fired or prosecuted by us–these people are powerful and they work together. They are not going down without a fight. They are not going to be dragged away without kicking and screaming and nails clawing the ground.
We must stay on the offensive if we stand any chance of winning. I'm grateful to CNN for their continued diligence. PLEASE don't let up now. The second the rich feel confident in getting away with things again, they'll blitzkrieg back in that direction.
I'm so relieved that the FBI has FINALLY been allowed to investigate our murders, now that the VA has spoliated the evidence and intimidated everyone into lying in the same direction.
Imagine how much we would know if they hadn't been barred from investigating while the criminals retained access to the evidence, and were told to investigate their own crimes.
If a disabled veteran walked into a hospital and blew away one of these murderers, would HE be given free access to the crime scene and told to investigate his own crime? Would he be allowed his own police force answerable only to himself, and would FBI and DOJ be barred from investigating until after he'd done whatever he wanted with the crime scene and death records.
Of course not. None of that would happen because it's totally ridiculous. We have one standard for the rich, and another for everyone else.
The rich have bought their way out of any responsibility. It's as simple as that.
THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU LET CRIMINALS INVESTIGATE THEIR OWN CRIMES.
