As a service-connected disabled veteran, and prior Military Police, I don't know what offends me more, the fact that these two murdered cops, or the fact that if they had survived, they would have enjoyed medical protections that disabled veterans do not.

How is it that VA officials report over a hundred thousand disabled veterans being cast aside, knowing full well that many have died as a result, and yet none of them are even talking about jail time?

If a police officer allowed either of these two scumbags to die by denying medical care, he would be charged with murder. For years, disabled veterans have been dying the same way, all across the country. Why has nobody been arrested? Why are politicians not even willing to call it a crime?

When will disabled veterans get the same legal protections as cop killers?

I know it IS horribly out of proportion to compare VA Hospitals to these murderous felons. they weren't entrusted to heal his neighbors, they stole no bonuses, and they didn't try to hide their crimes.

When did disabled veterans get demoted below cop-killers? Seriously, when did that happen?

Seriously, think about this. All the families of those who have died get to spend every Memorial Day and Veteran's Day for the rest of their life reflecting on the fact that it was our own country, and not the enemy, that killed their father.

"Mommy, why did Daddy die?" "Well son, he was murdered, but he didn't rate the same care, or have the same legal protections as cowards who shoot cops in the back of the head. He was only a veteran–not a cop-killer."

How ironic is it that if any of the 22 disabled veterans who kill themselves, or the countless who die from denial of care were instead to go on a killing spree and just massacre everyone responsible for murdering him, he actually WOULD get the care he needs, because our society protects its murderers, but lets disabled veterans die in line behind the cop killers.

Its just so tragic that it puts me beyond the ability to express myself. It's a good thing I have a great life and good mental balance. I can't say the same for 20,000,000 veterans in this country, though. There are a lot out there that are really, really angry. In fact the sustained daily bodycount of veterans blow their own heads off, is twice that of the Vietnam War, and fully 14 TIMES the so-called "Global War on Terror."

The VA murdering disabled veterans is the real "Terror" the government should "declare war" on.

This was a horrific tragedy, there's no question. I just wonder how many we have to look forward to when it really sinks in with millions of shell-shocked veterans that the VA has no plans whatsoever of charging and prosecuting anyone who murdered our disabled veterans–yet cop-killers like these, terrorists like Hassan, and mass-murderers like the Aurora Killer enjoy medical protection that we can only wish for.

I think I'm going to be spending a lot more time at home from now on.
