The allegations are disturbing and also familiar. A whistleblower is coming forward and speaking publicly for the first time about allegations of delays in care and an alleged coverup at a VA hospital in Texas. This follows Drew Griffin’s reporting on similar claims made by a retired doctor from a VA hospital in Phoenix. Today the House Veterans Affairs Committee voted to subpoena VA Secretary Eric Shinseki to testify about the widening scandal in his department. Drew Griffin is in San Antonio Keeping Them Honest.

AC360 should also look at the TDRL/PDRL process for the Department of Defence. There are many wounded soldiers who are having their military benefitis like insurance and pay suspended because the DOD is not processing the PDRL exams in a timely manner. My son has been waiting since 02/27/2014 to have his processed. His tricare medical and dental insurance for his wife and himeself as well as his military pay is currently suspended. By regualtion they are to have an exam every 18 months. It has been five years in the case of my son even though we have requested an evaluation numerous times since he was placed on temproary retirement disability leave (TDRL). If evey govenment agency would just take the examinations the other agencys due we could save millions of dollars and increase the quality of the care provided to our "hero" veterans. We have no complaints about the VA in Indiana, Kentucky or Ohio. We have had excellent and timely medical care.
If the government is determined to track every single call, email, and gps position of every American, how is it that the only information they can't get at seems to be what's on their own networks? Why is it only when asked about info they're SUPPOSED to have, they unleash their army of idiot-geniuses to plead ignorance?
The answer? THEY NEVER STOP LYING TO US!
