Life inside Fort Hood

The shooting at Fort Hood happened at around 4:30 in the afternoon. For many of the soldiers stationed there, that's the time they are finishing up training and heading home to their families. Retired Major General James "Spider" Marks spent years living at Fort Hood. He describes what the base is like at that time of day and says "the strength of our military is not just in our soldiers… it's in those amazing families."

Major General James "Spider" Marks had more poignant remarks about the Fort Hood Families.
