Retired Staff Sgt. Alonzo Lunsford was repeatedly shot by Major Nidal Hasan during the 2009 shooting at Fort Hood. Hours after another shooting at the same base, he recounts those events for Wolf Blitzer. He also says "instead of pointing fingers, the first act we need to do is embrace the families."

The shooting at Fort Hood happened at around 4:30 in the afternoon. For many of the soldiers stationed there, that's the time they are finishing up training and heading home to their families. Retired Major General James "Spider" Marks spent years living at Fort Hood. He describes what the base is like at that time of day and says "the strength of our military is not just in our soldiers… it's in those amazing families."

Last July's crash of Asiana Airlines Flight 214 was the first commercial air crash in the U.S. in more than four years. Three people died and more than 180 others were injured. The investigation isn’t over, and in newly filed documents Asiana admits that pilot error was partly to blame for the crash.
