Kareem Abdul-Jabbar on Donald Sterling: This is something that finally had to happen

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar is the NBA's all-time leading scorer and he is also a former Clippers coach. He tells Anderson, "There were indications at least a decade ago… Mr. Sterling had some really disturbing views."

Anderson discussed the Sterling fallout with ESPN's Jay Williams and Steve Stoute, who was an instrumental voice in advertisers pulling their business from the Clippers.

Gulf Coast gets hit by massive flooding 

Rescuers along the Gulf coast are using watercraft normally used to patrol beaches to reach stranded flood victims. Storms caused massive flooding for parts of the region, with some areas setting new records. Ed Lavandera has the latest.

Hundreds of firefighters battling Southern California wildfire

Strong winds and high temperatures are helping to spread a fast moving wildfire that started in the San Bernadino National Forest today. More than 500 firefighters are battling the flames. Paul Vercammen reports the wind is so strong it is keeping firefighting planes and helicopters grounded.

AC360 Exclusive: VA hospital Director speaks after VA doctor says 40 veterans died while waiting for care

President Obama called for an investigation into a Phoenix VA hospital after AC360 exposed a former VA doctor's claim of at least 40 deaths of U.S. Military veterans last week. Three members of Arizona's congressional delegation want the hospital's director fired. Senior Investigative Reporter Drew Griffin tracked her down. The initial response was not-so-welcoming.

Could Flight 370 really be in the Bay of Bengal?

Bangladesh dispatched a pair of ships to the Bay of Bengal,  where the company GeoResonance believes it spotted a plane underwater. The company believes it found the wreckage of a commercial airliner, and they alerted crews searching for Flight 370. The Bay of Bengal is thousands of miles away from the search zone off the coast of Perth, Australia. Anna Coren visited GeoResonance to find out why the company is so sure about its findings.

Anderson discussed this the technology with CNN aviation analysts Miles O'Brien and David Soucie, along with former Transportation Department Inspector General Mary Schiavo.

The NBA reacts to Donald Sterling's lifetime ban

Barely four days after tape of his racist rant hit the Internet, L.A. Clippers owner Donald Sterling is now facing a lifetime ban from the NBA and a $2.5 million fine. Almost as soon as Commissioner Adam Silver made the announcement, some of the biggest names in basketball voiced their support for the move. Rachel Nichols has the latest.

Was Flight 370 spotted thousands of miles away from the search zone?

An Australian company is urging investigators to look for Flight 370 in the Bay of Bengal, thousands of miles away from the current search zone off the Australian coast. Scientists working for GeoResonance say they are not sure if they found the missing Malaysian Airlines jet, but they believe they did find a plane. Miguel Marquez has the latest on the findings GeoResonance says search officials are ignoring.

Anderson discussed the science behind these images with CNN analyst David Gallo, who co-led the search for Air France 447 and CNN aviation analyst David Soucie.
