Unmanned submarine could be a powerful tool in Flight 370 search

There are planes in the air and ships on the water and so far there is no sign of Flight 370. But an unmanned submarine could be a powerful tool in finding the missing 777. The REMUS sub was developed by the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, and helped locate the wreckage of Air France Flight 447. Randi Kaye got an up close look.

Anderson discussed this with David Gallo, Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution's Director of Special Projects.

All commercial aircraft has several Emergency-Locator-Transmitters- ELT on board the aircraft, alone with the pinier on the flight date recorders and flight recorder

Each door as a life raft with a ELT, automatically activates upon impact in the event of a crash or contact with salt water
