CNN's Barbara Starr reports that according to a U.S. official, authorities here in the U.S. analyzing technical data from Malaysia Airlines 370 are coming to a conclusion that "it may be harder to write off the notion that there was not some sort of human intervention in this flight." Starr explains the intelligence so far does not yet lead to a motive.
David Gallo co-led the search for Air France Flight 447. He reacts to the confusion surrounding conflicting information being shared about Flight 370. "It's not just about the missing plane, there's 239 passengers on that plane," said Gallo. He explains that when he was in the room of the few people who knew what was going on during Air France 447 ".. it was important to get some information out to the public and the families and the loved ones of the victims, because they needed to know that things were moving forward." Gallo added he was careful about what information was shared to avoid speculation.
