Today is Martin Luther King Day. It was also five years ago today that President Obama was sworn in as the 44th President of the United States. Over the course of his presidency, Mr. Obama has often shied away from talking about race. But he opened up on the topic in a revealing interview with the New Yorker's David Remnick. Anderson discussed it with Mr. Remnick and John Ridley, screenwriter of "12 Years a Slave."
