'Texting rage' shooting
A 71-year-old former police captain is in custody and charged with second-degree murder after fatally shooting a 43-year-old man in a movie theater. Police say the two men had argued over texting. CNN’s Martin Savidge has the story.

The man should not have been texting during the movie. Let this be a lesson to all those Who are thinking about texting in other movie theaters
So people who text when they shouldn't be texting should be killed? Really? In a movie theater. Not endangering lives like texting and driving, but just during movie previews. Should we shoot everyone who breaks the the rules of posting comments online, too?
What do you really think of the Stand Your Ground Law? Do you think Florida is a dangerous state?
1. In every one of the theater's there are camera's that recorded this shooting.
2. This movie theater serves alcohol, in fla. No one can bring a gun into a building that serves alcohol.
3. On every entrance there is a two and a half inch sticker that states no knives or guns.
4. What is interesting is that when this guy threw a bag of popcorn, he therefore committed a crime of battery. This is usually considered a MISDEMEANORRR . BUT BECAUSE THE GUY THAT got shot threw it at a person over 65 just committed a felony.
First we had the "Twinkie" defense, recently we had the "Affluenza" defense...and now....the "Popcorn" defense...enough is enough...If he was sane enough to legally have a gun he's sane enough to be found guilty......
This is a matter of cop privilege. How many cases have we seen when a police officer is barely touched and he/she reacts exceptionally to the force. The boys in blue are taught every day how dangerous the public is and how they are in danger. Watch any number of videos of police officers responding with such aggression that would never be allowed for the rest of us.
I stopped going to movie theaters years ago because people act as if they're sitting in their own living rooms. People are beyond rude. Knowing that, I just don't go any more, and I wait for the DVD. There is no excuse for killing someone.
