Life and death debate in Texas
The state of Texas is forcing a brain-dead pregnant woman to remain on a ventilator. Her family made it clear this is against her wishes. The AC360 Later panel debates.

Using a dead woman as an incubator to grow a fetus is now legal in Texas, right?? If "it" were to succeed, what physical and/or mental (if not vegetable) disabilities will it have to "live" with?? Why doesn't Sunny volunteer to raise the "baby" were it to survive the incubation?? Why can a law impose the mental and financial burden on a family that is already grieving the loss of a loved one?? Since the father and the family would like to have closure, let them have their peace!!!
As a mother if my baby had a chance to live then keep me hooked up..
My heart goes out to this family, it is tragic but what would the woman have wanted??
99.99% of mothers and fathers for that matter would die for their children if it came down to it...
A life is a life if Texas is willing to shut down many abortion clinics than by all means they are constitutionally doing the right thing by preserving human life in contrast to their justice system.
As a retired nurse and a daughter, I. can tell you it doesn't matter what documents you have. The facility will follow the wishes of the family &/or their legal advisors.I was told more than once "the patient can't sue you,, the family can ". When my parents passed they asked if I wanted them to honor their directives. Very sad..my prayers are with them.
