Police union posts disturbing video of toddler swearing

A police union in Omaha, Nebraska posted a home video of an African American toddler swearing at a roomful of adults, who egg him on. The AC360 Later panel weighs in on the outrage the union has sparked with its remarks about the video.

It's funny when a toddler mispronounces a word (like when they can't say truck correctly) and it turns out being a "bad" word but it's not funny when – as it appeared in the video – you egg the child on using a terribly offensive word and not only that, but a terribly offensive attitude as well. All I can think of is what Forrest Gump's mother said, "Stupid is as stupid does." What are some people in the country raising with the kind of attitude you see in the video? It's scary. I live in Omaha and am sad this video came from the town I reside but it's happening all across America.

Perhaps the police union had a lapse in judgment for not blocking out the child's face in their REPOST of the video, but your panel seems to have conveniently forgotten that this video was posted to the internet by the "adults" or family members already. It probably got a pretty wide circulation on Facebook, Youtube, etc even before the police union got their hands on it. And there are countless disgusting videos such as this on Youtube/Facebook right now. Have you seen the one where a large group of 5-8 year olds are clearly dirty dancing/twerking etc in a garage and an adult is not only recording it but directing the children. What about the one where 2 kids are basically dry humping each other while someone is recording it. What's even better is in the comments section, there are folks who said, oh it's just a dance. I think the police union was completely justified by trying to bring attention to the outrageous "thug" culture some of our children are exposed to. And no, "thug" is not code word for black. A thug is a thug; black white blue or green. Our children deserve better than this.

This is flat out the parents fault, my 9 year old knows not to swear and hears it around him because I taught him that way, this is just plain dumb behavior that hurts the child later in life, Poor people have manners just as much as the rich, this is not an issue of levels of poverty this is levels of stupidity. The parents are old enough to make decisions and they choose to teach the kid this way, its the parents fault plain and simple, this is not abusive but ignorant, not racial , just bad choices! All blame on the parents!!!!!!!!!!I

I believe the inspiration of the police posting this video is that most of are society dose not under stand what really goes on in this type of home and the environment that children (some) are raised in or they just turn a blind face to it.Social Services has its limits on what can do by law and most Americans really don't care unless it in packs them directly the police see this every day and ma by its time you all saw the truth.
