Robin Roberts has plenty to be thankful for in 2013. In a message posted on Facebook, she thanks God, her doctors, nurses, family and her longtime girlfriend Amber. This is the first time she publicly discussed her sexuality. Randi Kaye takes a look at the reaction to Roberts' reveal.

The 74-member crew of the Spirit of Mawson is preparing to spend their New Year's Eve trapped in an Antarctic ice floe. The research vessel has been stuck there since Christmas Eve. Several attempts to reach the ship have failed and Sunlen Serfaty has the latest on the rescue effort.
Alek Jha, Chris Turney and Lawrence Topham are all trapped on the Spirit of Mawson and spoke to Anderson about life on board.

That is just one of the serious questions that is still being debated more than a year after the deadly attack, Four Americans, including Ambassador Christopher Stevens, were killed last September 11th. New York Times reporter David Kirkpatrick traveled to Benghazi for a new report on the tragedy. One of Kirkpatrick's most surprising findings is that he saw no evidence of Al Qaeda involvement. While that backs up claims made by the Obama Administration, Kirkpatrick tells Anderson he is "certainly not trying to vindicate anyone."
