Defrocked Methodist pastor speaks

Frank Schaefer defied the rules of the United Methodist Church when he performed his son's same-sex wedding. After suspending Schaefer, church officials officially defrocked him today. Anderson spoke to Schaefer about his situation and the anti-gay comments by 'Duck Dynasty' star Phil Robertson.

Pastor Frank you have an honorable calling God has given you... He has called you to be a pastor and a father....
Your love for your son is admirable but you have to remember Ephesians 6:4 which speaks about parents bringing up our children in the nurture of The Lord... Did he want something according to the Lord's instructions or is it out of personal will and decision.? Will you allow him to do what is abominable before God or you will stand for righteousness....
Remember Christianity is about obedience... Abraham was willing to sacrifice Isaac but God provided a ram because He saw that He loved God more than his son... May The Lord guide you and give you wisdom in this crucial moment you are facing... May you hear what The Lord is saying to you and continue to fix your eyes to the Author and Perfecter of your faith. Jesus Christ...

Sarah, The Lord is guiding and giving wisdom to Frank Schaefer in this crucial moment he is facing. If you listen to Frank again I think you will be able to hear it also. You may need to listen to Frank several times to hear what The Lord is saying to him – and it will be difficult for you to hear it – but it will be worth it. Merry Christmas.

Thanks so much for this insight. People need to be up to date with these issues. We should all be on the same page as now.
Gay people are just like everyone else.

We are becoming a police state, where free speech is no longer free, I have Cerebral palsy. Nobody cares about the comments I hear everyday, I live my life as normally as I can, If I went after everybody that said something about me I would not have much of a life. In or out of a religious setting, we must all was remember that we are in America. Land of the free, home of the Brave, part of it being free, is that you have the right, that means people can shout at the top of their lungs everything you can't stand, but you have the right to screen at the top of your lungs, and neither of you will go to jail. Name anther country where that can happen?
