Surviving the New York City train crash
Amanda Swanson waits tables in Manhattan. She was on her way to work when theMetro-North train she was riding in jumped the tracks. Swanson’s car landed on its side. She told Anderson she did not grasp the gravity of the situation until she got out of the train.

HELLO... I am watching everyone now CNN and wonder one thing... if the locomotive on this train was in the front then the engineer would have had a 360 degree view of the turn as it approached immediately BUT since the locomotive was in the back of the 8 car train and the speed it was entering the curve was 80+ but the straight-away leading up to the curve had a speed limit of 70mph... since the braking would have occurred from the back first but too late since the front car was already entering the curve... WHY ARE PEOPLE NOT POINTING THIS OUT YET???
shouldn't there be more than one person at he controls? no co-conductor?
