George Zimmerman's wife speaks out

It has not been a great week for George Zimmerman. First he was arrested on domestic violence charges in an incident involving his girlfriend. He spent Monday night in jail, where he was served with divorce papers. Today his soon to be ex-wife, Shellie Zimmerman, appeared on Katie Couric's talk show "Katie." Anderson looks at what she said and discusses it with Mark O'Mara, one of the attorneys who helped win Zimmerman's acquittal in the Trayvon Martin case.

Shellie Zimmerman stood by Zimmerman and aided and abetted a false verdict. GZ left their home after a violent fight with her and in a driven, vile rage took his anger out on an innocent teenager going home to his stepbrother to watch a sporting event. The 7-11 video showed Trayvon prior to the murder – a very normally demeanored teenager. If there had been a video to be displayed of GZ, it probably would have captured his murderous intent. (The made up story that he was on his way to get luncheon fixings for the week for him and his wife was repeated in its falsehood as his alibi for why he was out hunting in the dark in the rain. The estranged wife took part in this miscarriage of justice, just as the misleading lead defense atty did (and who apparently now is whitewashing Zimmerman's history prior to Trayvon's death as rationale for the benefit of Anderson Cooper's audience. Trayvon was murdered. A lot of people worked very hard to see that he was blamed for his own murder and that the true murderer would be freed to carry on as he has done. I don't believe for a moment GZ's behavior then or now is a brand new idea to Shellie or O'Mara, but that is their cross to bear. I have little sympathy for her. I have no respect for O'Mara. Zimmerman deserves utter contempt. That Shellie now wants to contact Trayvon's family is as abhorrent as O'Mara's misleading interpretation of the facts. He obviously will continue to bask in his pride of having gotten him off, the event for which a defense atty. will be most proud.
