White House releases low enrollment numbers on Obamacare. Now what?

In its first month, just 106,185 people signed up for health coverage under the Affordable Care Act. Fewer than 27,000 did it, using the government's troubled web site. These are not the numbers the Obama Administration hoped to release today. Chief Congressional Correspondent Dana Bash has the latest on what this means for the White House, and the millions of Americans who need to purchase coverage under the law.

Wolf discussed all of this with Newsweek and Daily Beast Special Correspondent Peter Beinart, Democratic strategist Paul Begala and political analyst Gloria Borger.

How Obama Care is helping me. I live in Eugene OR and have been paying for my individual health insurance since 2009. I lost my job and I have been paying $781.00 a month. I took early retirement this year because of a disability. With the Obama care health insurance I will be paying $32.00 a month and it appears to have all I need. Medical $250.00 deductible $500.00 out of pocket. It includes Acupuncture, Chiropractic, and Naturopath only a $15.00 copay. Obama care will be working for me as of Jan 1, 2013.

    Sincerely
    Geri Lip

What many of our politicians do NOT understand, is this Obamacare is killing small businesses. While I can keep my current plan for my employees, the insurance company (BCBS) has removed all of our local hospitals and doctors from that plan (or they choose to leave do to rates being paid). This is costing our family of four over $4500 additional $$$ in 2014.

Additionally, although it is only an 80/20 policy, it is considered a "Premium" policy and therefore we will be taxed as additional income. We already pay over $19,000 annually and that is going to ~ $24,000....and then we are taxed....ABSOLUTE INSANITY! Thanks Obama and the Democratic Leadership...by the way, I am an Independent.
