Secretary Kerry's bombshell on the JFK assassination

In the five decades since the assassination of President John F. Kennedy many Americans have never believed that Lee Harvey Oswald was a lone gunman. Today Secretary of State John Kerry said that he's not convinced either. Anderson discussed this with author Philip Shenon and presidential historian Douglas Brinkley.

The thing I can't get past is Oswald was using full metal jacket bullets, made to go through a human intact. The bullet that killed JFK exploded like a hollow point.

Oswald was the lone shooter. BUT. questions remain, why are there still sealed records until 2029? My opinion; Cuba was involved. If this information was released at the time, we would not be here today. Time is letting the major actors die off.

Oswald was trained by the of Office f Naval Intelligence to participate in a false defector program. He went to Russia and courted marina who was related to a highly placed soviet official. During Garrisons investigation into the New Orleans connection to the Kennedy shooting witnesses placed Oswald with Ruby on numerous occasions.. Oswald was sheep dipped as Cuban /Russian sympathizer by the Cia, placed in Dallas as a patsy to point to Cuban involvement with the hope america would demand revenge on resulting in the invasion the Cia originally planned.

The Kennedy assasination is like a cancer on the American psyche. People realise that the rrifle could not accurately shoot three bullets in the time recorded. The shooter was conveniently executed shortly after by a guy who died of cancer six months later..there were at least two shooters and the most reasonable suspects are the Right wing elements in the US military who loathed JFK over Cuba. Not a good status for a country that has steadily goone downhill since 1963.

The left desperately needs to believe that a "vast, right wing conspiracy" is responsible for Kennedy's murder. ANYTHING to obfuscate the fact that Oswald was a Communist, and a Communist simply could not be responsible for killing the martyr for other Communists. Hence, it HAS to be the military industrial complex, the right wing, the Cuban exiles, and/or Johnson's "conservative" Texas buddies. Heck...it's the entire "conservative" city of Dallas, and the entire "conservative state of Texas! The re-writing of history has always been a favorite tactic of dishonest liberals and Communists, which in this day and age, are one in the same.

I wonder how many posters know why JFK was still sitting up when he was shot....he had a back brace on...there is a picture of it online somewhere. You need to factor that in. It wasn't a tiny waistband thingy. It was a substantial brace.

Only problem is LBJ didn't have the power or means to do it. He did however align himself with people who did have the most to gain from his assassination. LBJ only got 4 years in white house, the real culprits got billion upon billion's of dollars.

Ever here of the military industrial complex, if not google it. If you were to check into most of the boards of directors of most of these companys, even today are filled with retired generals and cia staff. War equals money, money equals power.

There is no doubt in my mind that there was a conspiracy. And there is no doubt in my mind that there will be no evidence of this in archived records as CIA would of never let any get there in the first place. There maybe false info tying it to the Cubans but do you really think the Cubans would be that stupid to risk war.

There was no proveable conspiracy that can stand up to the light of day. Even the latest four year investigation by a retired police investigator that concluded that the secret service fired the fatal shot by accident can not hold up. Question: if there were hundreds of witnesses at the scene, how come NONE of them said they saw him do it?

The conspiracy theory is based on the unlikelihood that such an insignificant person as Oswald could bring down such a powerful man as President Kennedy.

forget all the myths about LBJ, CIA, MAFIA.
lets face it, the Cubans I believe certainly influenced Oswald to do JFK in.
THEY had all the reason to due to the CIA planning to kill Castro.

The US govt. buried everything because otherwise, the public and hawks would have DEMANDED an
attack on Cuba and thus usher in WW3 and doomsday.

The American people would have demanded worse then WWIII they would risk revolution had it been known that a rouge covert group inside the pentagon had done this evil act of shooting JFK in the head in public therefore an even greater reason to cover this up... who in the media or political structure would dare to stand up to "them" ? If they can get the President, they can get anybody. 1984/ There is too much structural 'secrecy' which allows unaccountability.

The Warren Commission amazingly enough failed to investigate quite a lot. What I find the most disturbing is that a Navy radiographer that he took at least 100 xrays – a huge number – from every conceivable angle. He admitted that not all turned out, but what astounded him before his death is that almost none of those survived. A lot of evidence disappeared after the assassination. Although really bad conservation may have been the cause – just bad handling. Files disappeared. It was awful.

Kerry is not alone. Many informed and intelligent people, including Robert F. Kennedy, Senate Select Committee to Study Governmental Operations with Respect to Intelligence Activities (Church Committee), and House Select Committee on Assassinations (1976–1978), have come to the same conclusion. I just heard that Fidel Castro himself doesn't buy into the lone gunman theory. It just doesn't add up: Zupruder film frame 313 showing the fatal shot seemingly from the front of JFK, not behind, the capability of the purported murder weapon – 6.5 mm Carcano carbine – a bolt-action rifle to fire 3 shots within the 6-8 second time frame test the credibility of Oswald theory. It is all disturbing, but JFK is still dead, cut down in his prime.

carlos hathcock, the greatest sniper in marine history, recreated the exact scene of the murder and couldnt come close to firing 3 shots like the warren commision had said. he barely fired 2.

I've had several other weapons experts tell me it was physically impossible to fire three successive shots from the $12 Italian Carcano with a a $7 scope in the amount of time that was recorded from open microphones. Much less with the accuracy Oswald supposedly accomplished: one errant bullet into a traffic light, immediately followed successively by one through Kennedy's throat, and finally the fatal bullet which exploded Kennedy's right side of his head.

The science reports I've seen lately seem to indicate that the bullets that struck Kennedy came from above and behind, as well as photographic enhanced evidence of a figure at the Texas School Book Depository precisely where Dallas police found the Carcano and three spent shells.

It's just that timing that eats me. Maybe in due time, probably not in most of our lifetimes, this will be correctly answered.

          That's not true.

You shouldn't say 'shoot 3 bullets in 10 seconds'. It's 'shoot, then shoot two more in 10 seconds'. It was PANG, wait 5 seconds, PANG, wait 5 seconds PANG.

Carlos Hathcock did: 'Timer starts, wait 5 seconds, PANG wait 5 seconds, PANG'. Which is pretty much the same as Oswald, except that he started with a first shot.

CNN's headline trumpeting "Secretary Kerry's bombshell on the JFK assassination" headlineHeadline is a juvenile and misleading attempt to call attention to its article which does not support the headline itself.

Secretary of State Kerry expressed his doubt about the complete accuracy of the Warren commission's findings that Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone in JFK's assassination. This is a doubt which is huge number of Americans (perhaps a majority) and others in the world, had long shared.

Therefore, Kerry's statement is absolutely not a bombshell. The headline was intended to suggest that Kerry had shed new light on the issue, and perhaps offered heretofore unrevealed evidence. He did no such thing and CNN should be ashamed to be practicing cheap sham journalism.

??? Well this story points out the fact that like most Americans, John Kerry is a gullible believer of the biggest lie in American history--the conspiracy theory behind the Kennedy assassination. There was no conspiracy, Oswald did it, alone. End of story, case closed.

Despite all the incongruities in the official story you truly believe it is open and shut? Did you always believe everything you were told?

There's absolutely no physical evidence to suggest any of the conspiracy theories is true. The only physical evidence is Oswald's rifle and the shell casings he left behind. Case closed.

50 years have passed. People still don't know 100% of what did -or did not- lead to the assassination. After 50 years with no 100% proof that one theory or another is THE DEFINITIVE ANSWER, WHY can't we just let JFK rest in peace?! I am so TIRED of the blah blah blah!!!!

JFK wanted to put the Federal reserve under the USA state control.to say not anymore under redchield controle ,that costed him his live as well to the other member of his family. Now Banks can create crisis wen its convenient for them it is also part of the new world order. Very much power behind those killings. and get a close look to whose behind fidel dictator and you might find out that they are the same people as behind Napoleon ,Simon Bolivar, Hitler, Noriega, Sadam, Bin Laden,Kadafi, Chavez etc.

I was in high school when JFK was shot and remember distinctly that the original time of sequestration of the investigation was to be 75 years so that no one alive then would be around when they were released. What happened to that?

Everyone involved is not dead. George Bush Sr. was in the CIA & also Dick Cheney & Rumsfeld who were in the Nixon administration & who was in the CIA are still alive. Oswald was in the CIA also & stated he was a patsy before being shot. Obviously you are clueless when it come to politics, the truth will never come out & it's still happening today, John Kennedy wanted to disband the CIA & not go into Vietnam. Don't forget that the handsome young JFK Jr. would of won the New York senate seat that Hillary wanted & George Bush Jr. would never have elected if JFK Jr. would of wanted to run for President & not to mention the Israel Massad agents that do their dirty work. Shame on all !! Every president since Kennedy knows who is boss, CIA.

See, the government benefits from the ongoing confusion. If the MSM would simple report on the well-known record and report the truth about the JFK plot (including CIA's E Howard Hunt's deathbed confession), sooner or later people would question more recent cover-ups like 911. With that, the entire system of lies as it has been constructed now will have to be reconstructed and most people simply do not want to go there. Listen to Jesse Ventura people: the truth will set you free!

I thought everybody knew only evidence that pointed to one man, one gun was presented to the Warren Commission, all evidence to the contrary was not collected, was suppressed, was tampered with, or those involved just disappeared.

The records were originally sealed for fifty years instead of the normal 25 so everyone involved would be dead. G. W. Bush extended the sealing indefinitely.

I was a young adult at the time of the kennedy assasination, i followed it on tv, the world was in a mess politically and militarily, russia and america took the missle system away from germany in 1946 at the close of ww2, russia or america never had a missle system , they came out with the jet engine in thier planes and hitler left them in the dust with his new number 2 rocket planes and missles at 2200 mph he could easily out run them, they were all on the edge of the atomic bomb the defineing out come of ww2 would be decided by who got the atomic bomb first, it was the americans,
germany took the first pictures of the earth from outter space, i do not believe russia or cuba or oswald had anything to do with kennedy,s assasination, i personally believe ruby was oswalds CIA handler,i believe he was lead to believe he was security for kennedy,s motor parade and kennedy was assasinated by a CIA sharp shooter, from the other side,
regardless it was bad days in america for americans in general as well as black americans, it is all water under the bridge now,
