Fmr. Homeland Security Secretary Tom Ridge says arming TSA officers is a bad idea

TSA officers are not armed, even though they are on the front lines of airport security. Today's shooting at LAX is the first time a TSA officer has been killed in the line of duty. It shows just how vulnerable they are while on the job. Airports have long been known to be soft targets. Anderson spoke with Tom Ridge who served as the nation's first Secretary of Homeland Security.

Anderson discussed the response to today's shooting with Tom Blank, a former TSA deputy administrator and HLN law enforcement analyst Mike Brooks.
