Did the NSA spy on some of America's closest allies?

The Obama administration is doing damage control after allegations the NSA may have spied on world leaders. This is just the latest revelation published by the Guardian from documents leaked by Edward Snowden. Now German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Francois Hollande are talking about resetting the ground rules when it comes to surveillance. Jim Sciutto has the latest.

Amazing, I think that all of those that want to spy on people should be spied on themselves. We should have a constant camera and microphone hooked up to all government officials and it should be streamed to the public 24/7. This way we can see how they conduct the business we elected or appointed them to do. This is no different than them tapping our communications. They are not above the law and should be the first to be scrutinized by the law and the people. If they do not like my idea, then they should stop doing it to anyone else. We cannot simply assume that they are doing the right things because obviously we need to monitor them and their activities, both at work and at leisure. It should not be that public employees monitor us more than we monitor them for their errors and mistakes.
