AC360 Exclusive: Dr. Sanjay Gupta interviews Secy. Sebelius

The woman at the center of the Affordable Care Act's rollout sits down to talk about the problems plaguing the website. Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius spoke with Dr. Sanjay Gupta. He asked when President Obama first learned of the problems with the system and why a new tech "A-Team" is only now working to fix themess. Dr. Gupta even asked whether Secy. Sebelius is considering resigning. Check out both parts of this surprising interview.

I am a fan of Dr. Gupta, however I thought his Sebelius interview was disgraceful. All he wanted to talk about was the website issues which have been reported about ad nauseam. Yes, it's not working correctly. Yes, we all know it. Yes, they are working on it. How about letting the secretary explain what is working. How about letting her tell folks how to access the state sites that are functional. Run the number to call on the bottom of the screen. List organizations available to help register folks. Instead it was gotcha news. It smacked of the very competition you at CNN claim not to be. I am an avid CNN watcher. I was disappointed in the reporting. And no Sebelius should not resign!

After spending $600 million, no one is held accountable for the implementation of Obamacare. Not the President not Secy. Sebelius. I admired the way Dr. Sanjay Gupta took her to task and asked her if she should be fired. Then, she completely ignored his question and started to toot her own horn. That's great that everyone is going to covered by Obamacare but how are we going to pay for this mess?

As a primary internal medicine physician I am not going to take any new patients in my practice 2015. I find only increased paperwork, increased obstructions to my patient care, and more government obstruction to care. I'm not sure why I have to do more work for everyone else to get paid. They are destroying primary care and until they treat PCP's better by helping us care for the people, Obamacare will never work.

An impotent leadership hiding, yet once again, behind cliches, catchy phrases, meaningless explanations that mean nothing except serving as a camouflage for incompetence.
'The main thing is we have a product' – yes, but nobody can get to it or get it on line. Sebelius' job was not to formulate the plan but to implement a web site that avails it to the public.
'Enormous volume', '20 million in 3 weeks visited the site' – Oh, yeah? Google, Yahoo, AOL and 1000's of other companies serve this volume every day.
The excuses for this faulty product are just that, excuses.
Right from the start it was know that there would be millions of people in line to be on line.
How come such volume was not tested for?
Bottom line – it is a failure due to insufficient testing of the most basic workflow through the system – Period!
Also, the admission that the site is not what it should be because 'we did not have 5 years to create it'
So, which is better Obama's campaign donations web site or Obamacare web site?
Sorry, Sebelius, as far as I am concerned you flunked, regardless of whether Obamacare flunked
