Lawmakers are running out of time to strike a deal before the debt ceiling deadline. Anderson spoke with Congressman James Lankford, a Republican from Oklahoma. He discussed how he sees Americans getting hurt by the shutdown and by the Affordable Care Act. When it comes to reaching a deal to fund the government, Rep. Lankford said Republicans are "trying to rebuild trust with the President."

President Barack Obama is my president and I am sure happy he is. He said he would work for the middle class and he is doing a great job. Thanks Mr. President.
Got a kick out of Republican Rep. James Lankford of Oklahoma being interviewed on CNN today. He described Obamacare as a complete failure that is already hurting many millions of "average Americans." He cited a family in his district that owns three franchises and is just struggling to keep the family fed due to insurance coverage changes mandated under the ACA. Does this guy really think people that own a McDonald's, a Sonic and a Dairy Queen really represent "average Americans"? Incredible!
