Why not call out the earmarks in the bill as well riding on the coattails of the American public. Won't mention names but if what I understand is true in the bill, Senate Minority Leader MM gets his money for a dam in KY. Then, Ted Cruz, leave Obama Care alone!
Who should learn a lesson are the traditional Republicans who, by default, allowed their party- our country- come too close to being hijacked by expremists and intimidation. A small group who were comfortable representing the citizen waving a confederate flag in front of the White House, the citizen I heard on TV saying our President "bows down to the Koran". This group

Now that it looks like congress will raise the debt ceiling and re-open the government, can we please focus on individuals who will have to pay more for less healthcare on January 1. We have an individual policy in California and I received a notice from our provider saying my premium will increase by 20%, my deductible will triple and they are reducing covered procedures. These are true numbers, sent to individuals, not speculation. Most companies are leaving the individual plan market in California, and we will be paying more for less.
OMG, can they not work on two or three issues at a time? Please.
senate votes 83-16 and 81-18, WHO DIDN'T VOTE!!!!
FIRE THE EIGHTEEN! Our 435 legislators have held our great nation hostage for over two weeks, not to mention the reverberations around the world! It has been an epic battle of egos and nearly took us all over the edge! The 18 legislators, whoever they are (you haven't reported their names yet) should never be elected again to any public office! It still remains to be discovered how much damage around the world this crisis has created. How did we allow our legislators to hold all 320 or so million of us hostage for two weeks? Keep in mind the names of the 18 hold-outs who wanted to catapult us over the edge of the cliff & make certain that they NEVER have that opportunity again!
