New questions about biker attack video

Police in New York City are seeking witnesses who may have information on the confrontation between bikers and an SUV driver that was caught on tape. The wife of the SUV driver released a statement today saying her husband took the actions he did because he feared for the safety of his family. However, while trying to get away from the bikers, the SUV driver struck three of them, seriously injuring one man. Criminal defense attorney Mark Geragos, and former federal prosecutor Sunny Hostin join the panel.

What if this was a pack of bicyclists instead of motorcyclists? Would the SUV driver have been "justified" in intentionally rear-ending a bicyclist because the bicyclist slowed down in front of his car? Would the SUV driver then also be justified in intentionally running over 2 of the other bicyclists after a pack of them confronted the SUV driver for rear-ending the cyclist? Isn't that precisely what happened here? People are not criminals simply because they ride motorcycles. There may be other pertinent facts not shown in the video but, on the basis of the video alone, the SUV driver should be arrested. The law is clear. Let a jury decide where the blame lies and what defenses are justified.

Biker thugs of the worst kind. They got what they deserve. Go after all of them, it seems they think they're invincible and society has to go along with their despicable behavior.
