What Americans think about Congress

Only 10% of Americans approve of the job Congress is doing, according to new CNN/ORC poll. CNN's John King breaks down these latest numbers  with lawmakers running out of time to avert a government shutdown.

The GOP has done it again!!! Since they closed the government it is only fair that they too lose their pay. I hope that the American public remembers them at the polls. It's time to CLEAN out those that are representing the American people, but only upholding their own personal agendas.

I was born in 1946 and went to school in the 50’s and 60’s; so what they taught in the schools about government could have changed (Kind a like the New Math) of the late 50’s an early 60’s. If I remember correctly the preamble to the constitution of the United States goes something like this:
“{We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.”
I served in the military from 1965- 1999 because I believed and still do believe in what the Constitution of the United States Stands for.
Democracy is about “Majority Rules” that what I was taught in school and that what Merriam-Webster says.
Parliamentary procedures say Majority Rules. Someone please explain to me how 1/3rd of a Caucus of one the party’s to a two party system can hold the MAJORITY OF THIS NATION HOSTAGES.
I AM ENTITLED TO MY SOCIAL SECURITY, I was forced to pay into it period stop, what about my military retirement and VA Compensation. These are not entitlement; I earned them.
Are founding Fathers’ I’m sure must be rolling over in their graves, right now. Washington get your Booties off dead center, stop playing games with my retirement and other like me. Fund the government then get to work problem solving and stop the name calling. ALL OF YOU IN WASHINGTON ARE AT FAULT.
No question the affordable care fact is flawed; I agree we have too much government. Use the brains the creator gave you and get to work solving those problems and stop creating new ones.

All the Republicans who voted for a shutdown should lose their pay, especially Rep. Labrador. They are not representing the greater American public. We will remember this, at the polls. Govenor Christie, are you listening?

If Congress were to loose their paychecks, I'm sure they would be finding answers faster!!!
