I watched the presidents speech on Syria and as usual I think that he swayed my opinion that action must be taken, however I don't think that our military should be involved. I think that the Russians should take the lead on this. This is their mess in their backyard and they should clean it up. The Russians should use their base in Syria as a depot for the chemical weapons and they can be destroyed on the Russian base safely. Russian troops should be use to escort the UN inspectors. Not US troops.
I read your Terms and Services and I Accept. I am really wondering what is the real purpose of all this media attention regarding Syria? Is this just another diversion tactic of the U.S.? Secondly, I understand that this puts us all in a difficult situation to see the photos of those beautiful Men, Women and Children that were killed. What is the real beef we have with Syria?
I love President Obama, but I am really dissapointed. He should have never consulted with Congress So be it. I give up , I don't want to hear about it anymore. Assad has to go.
Morally, my answer is yes. When any people sustains casualties that are truly morally wrong I believe we as a people should stand behind that group that is right. I wish we had stepped in in Rwanda and other areas where true injustice was happening. I know our troops are war weary, I understand that, but is this practice for what happens next: to us?
As long as our moral allies are with us, I say we participate. I stand with the President.
