I watched some report about Assad family. The guy who wrote the book lied and knew that he lied. He not once mentioned his elder brother Bassel, the heir apparent to their father, who was killed in a car crash. Bashar went to the United Kingdom to begin postgraduate training in ophthalmology at the Western Eye Hospital, part of the St Mary's group of teaching hospitals in London.Bashar at the time had few political aspirations.

Fouad Ajami comments about Alawite sect being servants and lack the education to be good at anything in life besides being soldiers made me wonder about his ability to be objective in his point of views…that if he have any. The USA doesn’t need ill-educated statements brought by a person who need a haircut and teeth cleaning…he sucks big time and made a fool out of himself with what he said.
