Crime & Punishment: Jodi Arias back in court

Jodi Arias was wearing shackles and prison stripes when she returned to court today for a hearing on her sentencing retrial. A new jury will decide whether she will get the death sentence or life behind bars. Her lawyers filed motions today requesting access to prospective jurors' Twitter accounts. They also want to limit or ban live TV coverage. CNN senior legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin and criminal defense attorney Mark Geragos weigh in.

Arias deserves the death penalty, I am happy that there have been problems with lethal injection, states are bringing back the electric chair. One state gives the condemned a choice electric chair or firing squad. Arias deserves the electric chair for what she did to Travis Alexander! she killed him 3 times, first stabbed him in his heart while he was sitting down in his shower stall posting for photos for arias. I know she told him to close his eyes when she stabbed him in his heart. medical examiner said it would feel like a heart attack! 2nd she sat then pulled his head back and slit his throat ear to ear AND also had a sawing motion with the huge military knife, he was almost decapitated (if you followed the trial there is a photo of arias doing this) next she drug his bleeding body to his bathroom, pulled him into the bathroom stall and shot him between his eyes. then she took a shower with Travis. Got off all the blood on her and the massive bleeding for Travis! she actually crawled thru his doggie door with the military large sharp knife with a non-slip handle! she propped him up and left him to rot! did a clean up of his apartment, even did a load of bed blothes and his clothes in his washer, and then waited for them to dry. this was downstairs of his apartment! Then she drove to another state to meet a new man when she got there he said she was all over him, first time they were every together, they had talked on the phone alot. She thought she got away with murder! she is a sociopath and a psychopath! it took her 2 minutes to kill Travis 3 times! Travis was her boyfriend for a long time, but he had broke up with her. If this rettrail for the penalty phase is on tv or on line do watch it and look at her! she is very scary pure evil! last time the jury had a stealth juror a man who actually got himself made the jury foreman! That's why there was not a death penalty verdict after the very long trial! If she is not given the death penalty then is will be Judge Stephens decision to give her life without parole or life with parole. Judge Stephens never tried a death penalty case. unfortunately she was chosen for Travis Alexander's murder trial! She does not know what she is doing, also she is partial to women and that includes convicted murderer Arias. She has postponed this retrial for penalty phase only for over a year! tell me why another judge was not given this case! I do believe she is a man hater. Travis deserved to have a male judge who has tried many death penalty cases, a fair judge. Arias behaved in court as if she was there for a traffic violation! no remorse for what she did to Travis! she will never have remorse for his brutal murder!

I would and could hand down the death penalty. this murderer deserves it for the cruel brutal crime she committed. the questions above in the comments does anyone deserve to die for sins? yes if you did what she did. this trial should be on tv,live streamed. we have a right to see it. our first admendment says so. why does the defendant have more rights then the victim..what does that say about our country? she was cold, calculating, cruel, brutal, manipulative, liar who is a spoiled brat. this murderer is NO victim of domestic abuse..she was the abuser, stalker and obsessed with travis alexander. she is still abusing the real victims here by tweeting and selling FAKE art and t-shirts for what???she is NO survivor she is the killer.

They should ban coverage of this new Jodi Arias penalty phase trial. Why put the family through a lot of heartache all over again?

Someone very, very wise, once said: " How a country treats it's criminals, is how you judge a country."
I think most of us know of a case or two or three, where we've said to ourselves, " If I were there, I'd
pull the switch MYSELF..." Don't tell me you haven't. Does this woman deserve to die for her sins and
crimes ? Let me pose a question to you readers: DO ANY OF YOU deserve to DIE for your crimes ?
Answer that question, with total honesty. Silently.

In total honesty, and silently, I can say – without a doubt – that I would never take another human being's life. Having said that, I can also state – clearly and loudly – that yes, Jodi Arias deserves to die for her sins. As does anyone who so callously disposes of another human being.
