Police say James DiMaggio kidnapped Hannah Anderson after killing her mother and and younger brother Ethan. Now DiMaggio's family wants DNA samples from Hannah, saying they believe James DiMaggio fathered both Hannah and Ethan. This comes as we learn DiMaggio named the kids' grandmother as the beneficiary of his life insurance policy. CNN's Stephanie Elam has the latest on all of this.

Some of you are pathetic. The boys remains wee matched to his fathers DNA, and the family met this sicko AFTER Hannah's mother was pregnant with her, through friends of theirs.
This is a girl going through hell, trying to put on a strong face, and probably crying herself to sleep night after night, scared to death in her room. Some of you people are really twisted. Unless facts come out otherwise, none of you are investigators, I am positive of that, so leave that work to them. Some of you are starting to sound as bad as the sicko who kidnapped and did god nows what to this girl.
Actually I read that Dimaggio and Hannas parents were all friends in high school.
I saw the video of her at her mother and brother's funeral.
She was smiling, laughing, did not see any sorrow or
sadness at all. She is not at all innocent in this tragedy.
This girls is showing clear signs of being a sociopath. She is loving the attention. I think she put this guy up to killing her mother and brother. I think she used the fact that he was in love with her and most likely she had a physical relationship with him.
Hannah Anderson's mother was already pregnant with Hannah before her family met Dimaggio. And in a statement from the Anderson family, police used a DNA sample from the father to identify Ethan's remains.
This whole story is sketchy. They need to release more information. They are keeping such a tight grip on the case information... Hannah is definitely not innocent . It's obvious.. they found letters from her to James and won't say what they said? Something is up. Maybe he did father them and only Jim and the mother knew but somehow Hannah found out. There's too much missing in this story
I have been following this story since it was first reported and I do not believe her story. I believe she was in on it in some way. She seems really eager to get on TV and in front of the camera's and does not seem to have any emotion at all. I just hope that the investigators work to find the truth.
I have the distinct feeling that there is much more to this story. Between the letters, the DNA tests, the Hannah own seemingly flippant attitude toward the loss of her mother, brother and being kidnapped. Something seems really off here.
Really off is an understatement. There was a relationship between the 2 no doubt about it – whether it was parental or something else remains to be seen.
The pictures of Ethan really look like him. Especially the eyes.
They should be denied the DNA testing. Even if DiMaggio did father these kids, he lost his priveleges as a father (if that was the case), in my opinion, when he brutally murdered Ethan. No real man or father kills a child. Hannah can request that DNA test if she wants to later in life for genetic history purposes. The Anderson family owes nothing to the DiMaggio family.
If it is proven that he indeed was the killer, I agree with you. Has it been proven yet?
I thought he was already convicted on the double murder? That's why he was executed.
Tim, he was shot by sniper fire when they rescued her. There was no trial.
From glancing at the pic, she has his nose and mouth-same crinkle when they smile. Just sayin it ain't hard to believe she could be his love-child.
It would also explain why he was a really good family friend. Perhaps why he and Handerson would go on those vacations, too.
Except her mother was pregnant (with her) when they met. Ethan's body was identified using his dad's DNA.
