Salad Sickness

Health officials now believe bagged salad was the source of a stomach bug that sickened hundreds of people in 15 states.  They say the salad was contaminated with a parasite called cyclospora, but they aren’t naming the brand of salad tied to the outbreaks. Why not?Anderson spoke with Chief Medical Correspondent Dr. Sanjay Gupta.

The government refuses to identify the brand name and has forbidden the press to reveal it.

This seems to be a recurring issue with bagged (read: processed) vegetables. I know that whole vegetables aren't immune from parasites, but you only hear of these issues with the processed varieties.
