It is all about respect or the lack of. Only George knows exactly what happened but I'm 99% sure he identified himself and from there on out it was no respect shown by Trayvon. If Trayvon would have shown some respect I'm sure he would be alive today. You have to show some respect to get respect. The problem is that most people have lost the concept of respect. You can't teach respect. It is something that you develop along the way of growing up–but you have to be exposed to the proper ingredients for the recipe to work. When was the last time you actually seen someone of color respect someone who was white. Not very often and that has to change or the killing will continue.

Tired of our President talking about the Martin-Zimmerman case. Where was he when the 4 Black men tortured, raped and killed the young white couple in Knoxville few years ago during a car jacking?? Read that story if your stomach can take it!! Where is the media questioning his ongoing comments about race? Did our past White Presidents do this?

It would be wonderful if Black and White teens would adopt a special color " hoody " of Light grey to show support for Trayvon. If these hoodies were worn as a symbol of the fight that tells everyone that they are not to be feared. The dark colored hoody has long been used in the comitting of a crime thus creating fear among everyone. It seems such a small price to pay in such a volitile situation. I fear anyone who wears black or dark clothing ment to hide their identity. All children and adults deserve the right to walk without fear but the world is not peaceful so this tribute to Trayvon would show how committed we are. The fight for peace is a two way street and it won't happen until we stop attaching each other and defining who we are by the color of our skin.
