Anderson, I don't know where this thing is going but, the prosecution certainly has not proven their case for 2nd degree murder nor should they be allowed to seek a secondary charge of manslaughter that carries the same degree of punishment. Whilst I think that George Zimmerman should be acquitted, only because the prosecution cannot prove what they are trying to, there should not be people walking the streets carrying loaded weapons unless they are fully trained law enforcement officers. I also think that Trayvon Martin probably did confront Zimmerman, not even thinking that Zimmerman may be armed and when he found out, well, it was too late. I also think that Zimmerman should have warned Martin that he was neighborhood watch and armed, then, I think Martin would have thought differently about confronting and attacking him, they both could have walked away unharmed. This whilst being a terrible tragedy, should be used to educate both sides about the procedures when you are a neighborhood watch person or a citizen just being observed by the neighborhood watch. I would feel safe if our neighborhood had a watch but I wouldn't want anyone killed unnecessarily.... Ron C
I haven't heard anyone talk about self inflicted injury or wounds. I'm not really sure if everyone has carefully listened to the 911 tape with the cries for help and the yells for help me, Mr. Dunnelly (the war veteran) said what i have been saying since i first heard the tape. He mentioned the other cries for help that he couldn't make out who they were and I guess he realized what he said and quickly changed it to something else. I can also be on top of a person but it does not mean that I am hitting them or banging their head I could just be holding you down to prevent you from harming me and while I'm holding you down by the shoulders where are your hands, " they are free", so I'm trying to hold you down cry out for help because you're squirming and now deciding to yell out for help me after my first cry for help.
