Zimmerman family: 'He's no monster'

The Zimmerman family defended George from the moment of his arrest, supporting his claim of self-defense throughout the trial. Randi Kaye reports.

Trayvon Martin's mother and brother took the stand Friday to listen and react in court to a 911 call on the night of the shooting.

The sad part about this case is wa aaZimmerman was told to stop and he did not. Secondly there is testimony that this voice is Tayvon's that is not being introduced by an exoert witness. Why was Zimmerman even carrying a gun and he outweighed Tavin by 45 pounds

I believe with all my heart that George is guilty, it will not be a surprise verdict when they let him off because like C.A. the prosecution has not proven their case. I believe he will walk.

Here is a question that no one is asking-what is the time difference between the scream and the gun shot. If it is a matter a seconds than it is Trayvon. If it is longer and the scuffle is still going on it may be George. Why isn't anyone asking that question-how long between the scream and the gun fire?

Where is the blood on George Zimmerman's clothing? if he shoot Trayvon Martin while he was on top of him from what I was taught gravity causes things to fall so George Zimmerman's should of had blood all over his clothing and not his noses and how did Trayvon Martin body get to where it was if the altercation took place on the side walk.

Everyone is talking about how George Zimmerman was defending him self. but on one ever said that Trayvon Martin might have been defending him self. The thing is that every parent teach there kid to run if they see a stranger(Trayvon was running) and if a stranger grab then to fight (Trayvon was fighting back) back and yell howl as loud as they can (Trayvon was yell as loud as he could. Three little words. Trayvon did not know what George Zimmerman entrenches. If George Zimmerman did his job correctly as a neighborhood watch he wood have Id him self some body should have ask George Zimmerman why hid didn't. I really want to know Why.

This Trial is long over as far as I am concerned, He (Zimmerman) will quite frankly, be getting away with MURDER! SMH

There are no eyewitnesses, only a scared guy trying to save himself from a bad error in judgement. Can we be sure that at the time of the scream G Zimmerman wasn't standing up facing the boy, setting up a situation? Injuries can certainly be self inflicted. Hitting your head against a wall or on a sidewalk doesn't take a genius. Nobody knows how a grown person sounds if someone is on top of them beating them and they are scared to death. I think the points being missed are, is the stand your ground concept justifiable state law and can the person with the gun stalking the victim be faultless if the victim thinks he is being targeted for a robbery or a mugging?

Why didn't George's friend teach him about knowing where his gun was at all times as a safety measure? George said he didn't know if he had his gun on him that night.

It makes no sense to me that GZ would be the person screaming in background during the 911 call. There was one shot fired at TM and by the time the call was made to 911, the gun had already been fired. So, if GZ shot TM in the heart and he fell to the ground, why would GZ be the one screaming!!!?? It is obvious that the person screaming in agony is the person that was shot!!

Very good point, do you scream when you are winning fight or when you are losing?

George Zimmerman knew himself that was Trayvon Martin voice screaming on that tape he had nothing to fear he was the one who had the gun and chased Trayvon Martin down. Yesterday, was the first time Zimmerman showed any emotion seeing his mother and uncle on the stand willing to lie for him. George Zimmerman saids to his (mom) nice try, but he is the one who shot Trayvon Martin in his chest and the bullet piercing his young – heart and lungs with not an exit, and "0" chance to survive. George Zimmerman sat on Trayvon chest after he shot him before this young teenager in pain suffers and die. There is no way that George Zimmerman should be set free to do this to someone else, and their is no comparison to Trayvon Martin mother (she will never get to see her son again) (on this earth) and George Zimmerman mother (will continue to see her son in person) until (the one or both of them die). Trayvon Martin mother should resent the fact of being put in caparison to the woman and mother of the son who followed and shot her son down with no just reason, only because he wanted too. (George Zimmerman and his family will have their day in hell).

Like a lot of people out here we hope that George Zimmerman is acquitted. I find it difficult to watch the biased hatred of the black people. They seem unwilling to truly look at the facts instead they put the pressure on by marching. We have listened to the evidence several times over and this is a trial by pressure. The medical examiner was so awful he too was hard to watch. How come he is allowed to be a medical examiner? There is another family out there the Zimmerman's they must feel every bit as sad regarding "their son". We are for justice and justice is not being served here otherwise George Zimmerman would not be on trial. Hopefully the defense can bring in this unfortunate teen's previous history of fighting Do we feel very sorry he is gone...of course. But do not send away a man who feared for his life.

So Trayvon couldn't be scared for his life either. You were 17 before, you know at that age you are more talk than you are action. You are judging this young kid be being 17. George is a full grown adult and should have turned around when he was advised to. He has no right to take someone else's life.

How many parents hear a grown man/woman scream. Every parent of a young child or adolescent hear their child scream in playing around or horsing around with other kids or their parents. Peoples voice change as they grow up especially men.

If the back of Zimmerman's heads was all bloodied, then it's obvious that Zimmerman was the one on the bottom.
    Duh.

I don't believe he was on the bottom, I believe that he received the wounds when they were both rolling on the ground and he ended up on top and fired the gun, DUH.

To Anderson Cooper: Two questions on George ZImmerman trial- 1) This trial is the same general area of Florida as Casey Anthony- that was a surprise verdict. Could we get a surprise verdict?.......2) Why hasn't anyone covered the fact when the stand your ground law went in effect in Florida, there was a lot of controversy down here... and this scenario was repeated/question again and again. So, does the state hold some of the burden of this shooting?
