The conclusion of this trial is still not made by the jury but there is one thing for sure, the prosecution can’t lose. If they win it is because Zimmerman, as a night watchman, did not do what he was told. If, on the other hand, the prosecution, representing the State of Florida, loses, the State of Florida, the prosecutor’s boss still wins. That is why the law that allowed Zimmerman to shoot Trayvon Martin is in error.
About Zimmerman, the prosecution is forgetting that this case is about proving, that the moment Zimmerman got out of is truck and follow Travon, he is no longer covered by the stand your ground law, the law was created for individuals to protect themselves againts crime or injury from criminals, I like the stand your ground law, but it was not created to intimidate or follow others who you might think look supicious. This case feels like manslaughter, we also can not ignore that travon drew first blood, yes he was only 17, but he was ready beat up George who was smaller that him.
im woundering why no one ask how can you shoot someone in the chest if they are on top of you an they are trying to hold your mouth an nose at the same time reaching for your gun which would be behind them if they are on top of you
My comment is regarding the 911 call and who's voice is represented on the playback. If both families believe that it was their child. Why not settle that with a professional voice analysis, to determine the likelihood of who it was? It is important because it speaks to the validity of Zimmerman's account of what happened.
The screaming person was obviously fearful of losing his life... Since Trayvon was shot in his heart from close range within a few seconds of the screaming, we can probably deduce that it was Trayvon who was screaming because he knew the gun was pointed at his chest. on the other hand, George would probably have been calmer because he knew he had the gun pressed up against the victim's chest and probably felt in control.
Hopefully the defense will show pictures of Martin before he was killed (not at 12 years of age), presenting his school issues, gang activity, and any arrest record as he as a history.
