The defeat of the background checks for gun sales in the Senate is another example of the attack on our democracy – the people are in favor of background checks. We need term limits on the House of Representatives and the Senate & most of all we need campaign finance reform. So the will of the people gets done and not "I want to keep my job in Congress" so I bend to the bully tactics of the NRA.

If the Republican party wants go survive they must be willing to take the risks that the Democrats have in these past 6 years. They must understand that people are willing to accept change, and more importantly want change. The Repubs want to hold on to a world that frankly doesn't exist anymore, people are changing their beliefs and letting go of archaic thinking, the Dems understand that an are embracing it.

The gun legislation or lack there of it embarrassing. We must, MUST get guns off the streets completely. How is it possible that we are living under guides of a constitution that is literally from the 18th Century in place of a Parliament which gave us "right to keep and bear arms"? Please Senators go above and beyond, be listeners, leaders, and legends and get the guns off the streets completely!
