I was in Samoa with Evan, I was really close with him. I did see violent behavior from Evan but I also so another side of him that not to many people saw. He was very proud of his Sicilian heritage, opened up about his childhood, we has many talks about religion, he talked about his father Jack a lot, shared about how much he loved his Dalmatian. He had a good heart and was very loyal to the ones he cared about and loved. After he left Samoa we spoke a few times, corresponded by mail but we lost contact over the years while he was incarcerated. I am so sad to hear about how his life turned out and sickened inside to hear about the things he has done. I feel so bad for the families who are suffering from his actions and for his family who is left to deal with this mess. : (
